Ongoing Measures Against Hacks and Macros

Hello, Maplers
We would like to take a moment to share an update on our ongoing efforts to ensure a fair and secure gameplay environment by addressing hacks and macros.
The team is taking this issue seriously, fully recognizing its impact on fair play, player motivation, and the overall integrity of the in-game ecosystem.
In particular, given the tightly managed structure of limited in-game assets in MapleStory N, addressing hacks and macros is considered just as critical as delivering new content updates. Accordingly, the team remains firmly committed to continuous system improvements, active monitoring, and appropriate measures.
To that end, we have steadily reinforced our detection and enforcement systems through a comprehensive, multi-layered approach:
Monitoring for abnormal behavior patterns such as mass logins, rapid character creation, unusual trading and leveling activity
Security tools to detect unauthorized software, including macros, memory/client editors, and remote multi-PC control
Mechanisms to detect and identify attempts to bypass existing security protocols
Extensive logging and anomaly analysis focused on character progression, currency acquisition, and related in-game activities
These systems detect hack and macro activity by identifying groups that exhibit identical or similar behavioral patterns, enabling appropriate follow-up measures. Enforcement is carried out through a combination of automated systems and manual review processes.
With ongoing updates to the automated system, more than 200 detections and corresponding restrictive measures are now being processed every hour. In parallel, our team continues to conduct thorough manual reviews based on user reports and submitted evidence. As a result of these combined efforts, a total of 6,503 sanctions were issued over the past 24 hours.
During the early stages of the game’s launch, strict monitoring protocols were implemented to improve detection accuracy through extensive log collection and pattern analysis. While these efforts may have caused some inconvenience to our civil Maplers, we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding.
We are now actively reviewing and adjusting these systems in real time to minimize false positives and avoid excessive measures. Newly identified exploit behaviors are also being addressed promptly through additional restrictions.
Your reports help us in taking appropriate and timely action against unauthorized activities. Looking ahead, the MapleStory N development team remains dedicated to tackling hacks and macros to preserve a fair and enjoyable gameplay environment for all Maplers. Thank you.
If you encounter suspicious activity, please report it via our official [] with any relevant video or evidence.
