When it came time to seal the Black Mage, Shade sacrificed his very existence to save Maple World. Now he bears a pain that no one but him can remember, and he stands at a crossroads with the Black Mage's return.

With the help of an Anima tribe, Shade gains the power of the spirits, which he can call upon in battle to unleash tremendous firepower. Between his rapid attacks and unique moves, fighting as Shade is a rhythmic experience.
