Direction of the RX Update
Hello, Maplers
Since the official launch of MapleStory N, the overall in-game economy has been closely monitored based on your gameplay data. A meaningful amount of NESO and other in-game rewards is regularly allocated into the game, and the system is designed to allow timely increases to the overall reward pool when necessary.
Detailed data analysis has identified the primary reason some Maplers may not be experiencing the intended RX to its full extent: a gap between the pace at which rewards are being injected into the game and the pace at which players are actually acquiring them.
Despite the volume of NESO allocated into the world of MapleStory N, we confirmed that the actual amount acquired by players was lower than expected—and we believe closing this gap is a key priority. To address this issue, the reward allocation algorithm is being updated to better synchronize the distribution pace with the actual player acquisition rate within the game. This structural update is scheduled for rollout on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
Through this improvement, rewards will be delivered in a more intuitive and noticeable way—closely aligned Maplers' progression and in-game activity. Ahead of this update, a powered-up version of the ongoing NESO X EXP Drops Event is set to launch to enhance the experience for everyone actively playing MapleStory N, which will go live on this Thursday, May 22, 2025.
With this upgrade, NESO rewards will be significantly increased across all layers—including field monsters, daily bosses, and weekly bosses.
Our goal is to deliver the intended fun and sense of progression as early as possible, even before the structural updates officially go live. Additionally, there are ongoing efforts to improve the enhancement system and dynamic pricing model, which many of the Maplers have voiced feedback about. MapleStory N features a dynamic pricing system that adjusts enhancement costs in real-time based on demand for enhancements.
During the early phase of the launch, Maplers might have experienced greater fluctuation as the system worked to find balance and stablize the enhancement cost based on limited initial data.
Now that more user activity data on enhancement attempts and supply-demand trends has been accumulated, the system is beginning to enter a phase of stabilization.
The “stabilization” doesn’t simply mean a drop in enhancement costs—it means the cost to be gradually become more aligned with the amount of resources that players can earn through gameplay.
With more data accumulated, the system will continue to evolve, enabling the in-game economy and reward distribution to adjust and improve organically over time. The vision for MapleStory N is a world where the game’s economy refines itself in response to player participation. Contribution rewards received by MapleStory N are actively used to enrich your experience and support system progression.
With this week’s event upgrade and next week’s structural update, you can look forward to experiencing a more meaningful, rewarding, and enjoyable gameplay.
Our core focus remains making MapleStory N a genuinely fun and rewarding experience for all Maplers.
Thank you.
