1. Minimap

The minimap displays the location of your current character and the name of the area they are in. Check it to see where NPCs, other characters, map structures, and other objects around your character.

  • An exclamation mark (!) over an NPC icon on the minimap indicates that there are quests available through that NPC.

  • A question mark (?) over an NPC icon on the minimap indicates that there is a quest you can complete through that NPC.

  • The minimap does not display in some areas.

  • You can check an NPC's name and its role by hovering the mouse over the NPC icon on the minimap.

  • Clicking the "NPC" button at the top right of the minimap will display the list of NPCs on the map.

  • Click an NPC at the NPC list to mark them with an arrow.

  • Right-click an NPC at the NPC list to activate navigation. Click "OK" button to begin navigation. It will lead you to the NPC!

Click “REWARD” button on the upper-right corner of the minimap to open Reward Dashboard widget.

2. Quick Move

While in a town, you can use Quick Move to move to the content of your choice.

There are certain towns that do not have Quick Move function.

3. Notifier

The notifier shows quests and events that your current character can take.

MapleStory N News

  1. Available daily/weekly quests: Find available quests that you can clear daily or weekly.

  2. Available quests: Find available regular quests that you haven’t cleared yet.

  3. Available Events: Find available events that you can participate in.

  4. MapleStory N News: You can directly visit (1) MapleStory N Website, (2) MapleStory N Announcement, (3) MapleStory N Event, (4) MapleStory N Guide with MapleStory N News icon.

Hover your mouse over each icon to check the remaining number of quests or events that you can participate in!

4. Chat Window

The chat window has multiple chat tabs, including All chat, Friend chat, Party chat, and Guild chat. It is located at the bottom left of the screen and you can start chatting by pressing the [Enter] key.

5. Character Window

The character window displays your character's level, name, HP, MP, and EXP information.

6. Quest Helper

Use the Quest Helper to check the progress of your quest.

Up to 5 quests can be registered in the Quest Helper

When the "Auto Alarm" button is on, new quests will be registered to the Quest Helper automatically when you start them.

When the "Auto Alarm" button is toggled off, quests will not be automatically registered to the Quest Helper even if you progress them.

6.1. Registering Quests in the Quest Helper

  1. Click the checkbox on the left side of the Quest title at the Quest Window (shortcut key [Default: Q]).

  1. Click the "QUEST HELPER" button.

6.2. Remove Quests from the Quest Helper

Uncheck the checkbox at the Quest Window or click the "X" button next to the quest title at the Quest Helper Window to remove the quest from the list.

7. Maple Guide

The Maple Guide recommends various contents including quests and hunting fields that is suitable for your character level.

8. Changing Language Setting

MapleStory N supports multiple languages to provide Maplers with a more convenient gameplay experience.

Currently, a total of 9 languages are supported:

  • English

  • Indonesian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Portuguese

  • Simplified Chinese

  • Traditional Chinese

  • Spanish

  • Thai

When you first launch the game client, the default language is set to English.

You can change the language later in the Option menu, and for the new language setting to be applied, the game client must be restarted.

※ Please note that to minimize confusion and improve convenience in user communication, important in-game terms (e.g. field name, NPC name, skill name, etc) are provided in English by default.

8.1. How to Change the Language

  1. Click [Settings] >[Options] > [Game] and find [Language]

  1. Choose your preferred language from the 9 options:

  1. Once you see a message confirming the change, exit the client and restart the game.

※ All languages except English are currently in beta version. Some content may not yet be fully translated. Major content will be updated first, and the team will strive to improve language support as quickly as possible.
