1. Minimap

The minimap displays the location of your current character and the name of the area they are in. Check it to see where NPCs, other characters, map structures, and other objects around your character.

  • An exclamation mark (!) over an NPC icon on the minimap indicates that there are quests available through that NPC.

  • A question mark (?) over an NPC icon on the minimap indicates that there is a quest you can complete through that NPC.

  • The minimap does not display in some areas.

  • You can check an NPC's name and its role by hovering the mouse over the NPC icon on the minimap.

  • Clicking the "NPC" button at the top right of the minimap will display the list of NPCs on the map.

  • Click an NPC at the NPC list to mark them with an arrow.

  • Right-click an NPC at the NPC list to activate navigation. Click "OK" button to begin navigation. It will lead you to the NPC!

Click “REWARD” button on the upper-right corner of the minimap to open Reward Dashboard widget.

2. Quick Move

While in a town, you can use Quick Move to move to the content of your choice.

8. Changing Language Setting

MapleStory N supports multiple languages to provide Maplers with a more convenient gameplay experience.

Currently, a total of 9 languages are supported:

  • English

  • Indonesian

  • Japanese

  • Korean

  • Portuguese

  • Simplified Chinese

  • Traditional Chinese

  • Spanish

  • Thai

When you first launch the game client, the default language is set to English.

You can change the language later in the Option menu, and for the new language setting to be applied, the game client must be restarted.

※ Please note that to minimize confusion and improve convenience in user communication, important in-game terms (e.g. field name, NPC name, skill name, etc) are provided in English by default.

8.1. How to Change the Language

  1. Click [Settings] >[Options] > [Game] and find [Language]

  1. Choose your preferred language from the 9 options:

  1. Once you see a message confirming the change, exit the client and restart the game.

※ All languages except English are currently in beta version. Some content may not yet be fully translated. Major content will be updated first, and the team will strive to improve language support as quickly as possible.
