## **8. Changing Language Setting**

MapleStory N supports multiple languages to provide Maplers with a more convenient gameplay experience.

Currently, a total of 9 languages are supported:

* English
* Indonesian
* Japanese
* Korean
* Portuguese
* Simplified Chinese
* Traditional Chinese
* Spanish
* Thai

When you first launch the game client, the default language is set to English.

You can change the language later in the Option menu, and for the new language setting to be applied, the game client must be restarted.

※ Please note that to minimize confusion and improve convenience in user communication, important in-game terms (e.g. field name, NPC name, skill name, etc) are provided in English by default.

### **8.1. How to Change the Language**

1. Click \[Settings] >\[Options] > \[Game] and find \[Language]

<figure><img src="/files/1YYh6MdbMyXHlpfLCYbK" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

2. Choose your preferred language from the 9 options:

<figure><img src="/files/K3nsyKrXOXrNAgPaTSUY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

3. Once you see a message confirming the change, exit the client and restart the game.

※ All languages except English are currently in beta version. Some content may not yet be fully translated. Major content will be updated first, and the team will strive to improve language support as quickly as possible.

※ If any translation errors or typos are found, please contact our [Support](https://support.msu.io/hc/en-us).
